Men in times of trouble tend to turn either towards or away from God. Tiresias was not a man, and as such the thought of a higher power did not occur to him as he entered the church. Instead it was merely a place to stay, to take passing shelter from the storm that was coming outside. It was the first sign of spring and sent the crackle of electricity and the smell of rain in the air, but at the moment it was too much for Tiresias to handle. But once he found himself at the place of the altar, a drop of cold rain fell upon the muzzle with an unceremonious plop. "Of fucking course," he growled, shaking and taking a few more steps to the side. It seemed that his luck remained on the down side, but as an intellectual he tried to push himself away from thinking that luck was behind everything. No, this was nothing more than a series of poor coincidences that would, surely, stop.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
