I heard from god today, and she sounded just like me;
What have I done, and who have I become.
What have I done, and who have I become.
The cold weather always brought out the worst in Karaline; she hated the way her muscles ached, and the way she had a permanent chill in her body, regardless of the warm sleeping arrangement at Fort Astenbury, but the most irritating thing was the open wound on her neck, although gained during the invasion of the Badai, it kept cracking and bleeding, and Karaline wished - not for the first time - that she'd left more of lasting impression on the cowards, but it was over and done with, and Karaline had won; had painted the ground red with the blood of the male, the memory making the female quiver with excitment, the sadistic imprint on her brain remembering how her blood had blended into the beautiful picture.
A sudden gust of wind, bitter and god awful, had the labrador mongrel scrambling into the safety of the Fighting ring; her body shivered as she attempted to warm up, although suddenly a lot warmer than before, the permanant chill to her body had the female chilled to the bones. She was suddenly thankful to her Tempest comrades for removing her from the outpost duty, and Karaline wandered further into the building, that for once was empty. Normally, when Karaline visited it was bustling, and for the first time in a while, the female made her way to the attic - it would be warmer, and normally, it was a lovely place to sleep. There was always the chance that the female would awaken to find the place busy, or better yet, be involved in something to take her mind off the irritating chill to her body.
Pausing on the steps for a moment, Karaline twisted her head to the ground - was somebody there? It sure had sounded like it. The female resisted the urge to curl her lips; sneak attacks were always dispised by herself, and she loathed anyone who attempted it. Spotting a darkened corner, the female settled herself down and closed her eyes as she waited for the sounds of someone to approach the stairs.
They were going to be in for a shock.

I saw the devil today, and he looked a lot like me.
I looked away, I turned away!
I looked away, I turned away!
