THE ODDS SYSTEM
The odds system serves the purpose of judging the outcome of a situation, an alternative to critique judging and not limited to fighting. Only the benefit to this is that you can instantly determine the outcome of any situation. What could those situations be? Absolutely anything! So long as two or more roleplayers agree to it, you can have it determined through the system. The system is set up so it's fast and easy to execute and roleplayers can control the outcomes. It's really up to you.
How it works:
Some of you may be familiar with the VDice plugin. This is what we use, though it's been deconstructed for our purposes! The maximum range of numbers is 0 - 10, however, double digits can be created by just having two numbers posted, should you need them.
When we pitch a number, we can control the range of it which means the odds can be controlled. The staff using this account cannot see this number until it's posted, nor can it be changed via editing, so you can be assured that it's fairly randomized!
Terms:
1. The odds system is not being enforced sitewide, so it will be up to two or more roleplayers to all agree to the odds and their potential outcome. It can be as simple (like a coin flip) or as complicated as you want, so long as you can convey it. However, let's be respectful to our fellow roleplayers and not expect equal odds in circumstances where they wouldn't be. (E.G, a fight between a tiny and giant dog, or one significantly injured and the other healthy)
2. However, structures can be set up in organizations (such as a pack) that must be followed within the pack's context. Beyond that context whatever is structured within can't be used outside and must have the agreement of the other roleplayer(s) this will be up to leaders to manage
3. This isn't limited to roleplay, should you have the need for it. Staff may incorporate it into certain contests and litters, for example. You would just need to state the terms and tag the account like usual.
How to use it:
You don't have to stay strict to the form below, since you may find yourself needing to adjust it for your purposes and that's fine - it can be done any time, multiple times in a thread. But you need to include all the necessary information in some way, and if there's anything additional that could affect the numbers.
Essential information would be how many numbers you want pitched, and what range each one should have. You should also include what the outcome(s) are based upon. You may want to include other terms if you're fighting (like how many posts each)
You will also need to tag the Odds Account in your request, that can be included at the foot of your post when you require them to post or within the terms. This is the only way the Odds Account will respond. Do not tag the account until you need the account, because we won't be tracking a thread to know when to post.

NUMBERS (this is where you'll list how many numbers you want and their ranges)
First number (if necessary, state which participant has this number)
Range (range can be anything between 0 - 10. You can do it like 1 - 2 or 5 - 8, ect)
OUTCOMES

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
(Any additional information you want known, such as fight terms if you wanted. However, if you post this at the beginning of your thread you will need to tag the Odds Account at the end to notify us)
Examples:

Once notified, we will respond to that thread. Based on that information, we know the range and how the numbers determine it. It can get much more complicated than that, and it's entirely up to you how that happens, since all we do on our end is post the numbers.
Real examples will be added here soon!
