The summer sunshine created a heat on her chocolate colored back that was much warmer than what she was used to. It was her first Summer, and she had never desired to dunk her head into a pool of water, but she seemed to desire it now. Her tongue lolled over the side of her mouth, with a heaving pant of warm air passing through her lips. She needed some sort of relief, so she padded out of her room, disregarding the fact that her brothers were still inside. Homicide then slipped out of the back door quietly in hopes that no one was guarding the back heavily. Trees lined the back of the property with a nice fence around the perimeter which made guarding it rather redundant. Once Homicide learned this fact, she learned that going this way to get out of the mansion was optimal, since guarding the front of necessary. She jumped off of the deck, completely disregarding that there were stairs, then she took off at a fast pace towards the gardens.
Homicide could have used this time to escape the clutches of Kekoa, but the thought didn't even occur to her. The only thing on her mind was plunging into a some cool water to get the heat off of her. She expected some guards to stop her, or tell her that she couldn't be outside of the mansion like they always did. Of course she was usually trying to escape on those occasions. The gardens were not too far away, but they were just far enough to make her break into a sweat. Her panting became even more labored, as if she were going to pass out, but she was determined to get to the water before that happened. A small stream ran through garden, and it was the most welcoming thing Homicide had laid her eyes on since her birth. Just as she was getting ready to dive into the water, the whole thing faded away.
Bi-colored eyes blinked the sleep away, and she lifted her head groggily. Her eyes squinted to keep the light out, since it seemed she was sleeping right next to the window. The duvet was comfortable, but the heat that the sun was putting off through that window was uncomfortable. She stretched her paws out in front of her, and then pushed herself up. To her surprise Havok was still laying next to her, but Nuke was no where to be found. Homicide cracked a mischievous smile, and wagged her tail before pouncing towards her brother. Her intention was to land right on top of him and startle him. Then perhaps wrestle with him, but it wouldn't take long for thoughts of the water to weasel there way back into her mind.
"Wake up numskull, let's get out of here!" She yapped happily.
