Mary Anne wandered through the halls of the mansion. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to be out of the room, but she was bored. Then again, wandering was what got her here in the first place. There was only so many things to do in that room, and as much as she loved her sisters, she could only stand being around all of them for a while. Especially since in all, there were five females, and they were bound to get into arguments constantly. Not to mention the fact that Alice had forgotten them, something that pained the pup greatly. She didn't blame Alice for any of it, but it hurt that her sister didn't remember any of them. After all, they had grown up together, and it was hard knowing that she didn't remember her. She vowed that if Alice ever got her memory back, she would never tease her sister about talking to the flowers again. Hell, she'd even join in if Alice would let her.
She tried to walk as quietly as she could, not wanting to draw attention to herself. She wasn’t sure how many of the Kekoans knew about them being here, but she didn’t really want to know. But since she was a pup, full of energy and whatnot, walking quietly was a challenge. Every few steps, she would break into a run before slowing back down to a walk, remembering that she was supposed to be quiet.
In truth, she didn’t really want to be here. Atticus was nice and all, though she wasn’t sure how she felt about Chamber, but this wasn’t home. Maybe if she tried hard enough, it could feel like home, but she wasn’t sure that would ever happen. The only reason why she stayed here was because everyone else with the exception of Dinah, wanted to stay. And she didn’t want to leave her sisters here because family stayed together. Someone had to look out for them, and she wasn’t about to trust the adults. But all she really wanted to do was gone home, to see her other siblings, and parents again. That was home to her, it was all she ever really knew. But for the sake of her siblings, she stayed.
She had no idea where she was going, nor did she really know how to get back to the room they were staying in. Memorizing which way she came had never really been one of her strengths. The only way she’d be able to get back would be through dumb luck. Though, she didn’t really want to go back now, when she would be stuck in the same place she was before. What she really wanted was an adventure, though considering that’s what got her here, that wasn’t a good thing. Either that, or someone other than her sisters to talk to. She’d gladly talk to one of the Kekoans, even if she didn’t fully trust them. After all, she was bored, and beggars couldn’t be choosers.
