Brighid did not pace around the empty building as she was accustomed, but instead chose to remain stock-still. Clyde and Lydia had reported back about the exact meeting place and time. Noon, three days after the event, and in an old yogurt shop. It was truly old, with a few sparse pieces of furniture hanging around. A table, two sofas, none of those uncomfortable, decorative places to sit that were so common around newer shops of the same variety. It gave a sort of quaint feel to the place, although not so "home-y" and cozy as perhaps it was supposed to be.
The discussion had been nearly a complete success. She didn't know all the details, of course, but for that nobody had gotten seriously injured. The one blip in the mission had been a failure on the meeting place: instead of the railway or the fortress, as it was suggested (and which Brighid thought would have been equally convenient for both parties), they were meeting at this little shop. No matter; it was still neutral ground as far as Brighid was concerned. Not the zoo, but not the beach either. And besides, it was quiet; good for actual conversation.
While Brighid did see how Tzafar choosing the location could be seen as a bit of a power play on the Tempest leader's part, she did not give it too much thought. As long as they were on good terms with the gang, such things did not matter. Besides, Brighid had the advantage of arriving first. In her experience, being the beginner of the conversation always gave the upper hand. Not that such manipulation need be necessary. They were just two adults talking about how to make sure that future manipulation and physical combat would not be necessary. Surely those adults could be on good behavior.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
