OLD HEAT OF A RAGING FIRE
COME AND LIGHT MY EYES
Everything always went according to Jezebel's plan. And when it didn't, there was someone to blame.
They would pay.
That blame rested firmly upon the shoulders of the police force, some more than others but they would face the collateral damage for the mistakes of their peers. They would all feel what it was like to wrong Jezebel; she would shake the city to its roots if she had to. The first dogs on her list were Rook and Keller, but out of respect to their employee they would be given the chance to amend their part in her arrest. They would say it wasn't their fault, and that might have been right - they couldn't predict the spontaneous patrol spurred for the Kekoan dogs when she was given the schedules of that day. But that wasn't enough for Jezebel; she would not be appeased with excuses.
It wasn't so much that she was angry. Jezebel hadn't felt that in years.
It was more... insulted.
Half of the cells were open, half remained close. Jezebel's door hung open, free to explore the jail until she came across the boundary of guards but instead she remained in the cell, seated in its corner. Sacrificing a couple of hours to stretch her legs, she waited, her dark eyes grazing the grime on the opposite wall. Jezebel endured the buzz of conversation surrounding her, the barks and shouts of other prisoners made her curl the edge of her lip very slightly. They were lesser dogs to Jezebel, and she had no interest in entertaining any of them. Silas and Deucalion were in here somewhere, their cells spaced out so they couldn't conveniently speak to one another, but she would catch up eventually with them. The brindle female waited for now, because she knew that they'd knew she'd be waiting.
They would come to her soon, or else.
