Atticus winced as he walked through the mansion until it became not less painful, but easier to appear to bear. Still he was burdened with the heavy limp that the leader would never be able to improve on, less so as time went on. It was always worse upon waking, when the cold had hours to settle in and seize his bones and he would have to fight it off once more. Atticus slept less so it would be easier to shake free between intervals of rest. Which was a fine arrangement for him, albeit not healthy. He seldom slept well since Guinevere had passed, his daughter falling ill and his son going missing - now left entirely to his own devices to return home. It was a daily battle; a relentless onslaught that he would inevitably surrender to. But not today, not now.FLASHMOB; Scotia {PANTOMIME! Rosalina ace! for Alice, Mary Anne, Jinx, Dinah, Absinthe! If you can't currently reply, your puppy will assumed to be here. No strict posting order, just give others the opportunity to. Akela and/or Chamber may be present, as rescuers of the puppies
The Kekoan leader headed down the hall towards the room where the five puppies in their custody were staying. It was early morning, earlier than it was for most when they started their day. He was glad to provide them with shelter when they'd been in danger from the hurricane, then the cold snap of winter's arrival. But it was time to find out where they'd come from and who they belonged to. If they had nowhere, he would have been more than happy to provide them with a home, as was Kekoa's purpose. But there could have been guardians worrying themselves sick, or maybe the children themselves were concerned for their future. Atticus hadn't heard anything regarding those details and so would pursue them himself so they could figure out what was to be done with them.
"Rise and shine, little refugees." He greeted cheerily as he hobbled into the room. If they weren't awake yet, they soon would be.
