Blasted cold, blasted snow, blasted sunlight!
Ray cursed the ground she walked on with grit teeth and a chip on her shoulder bigger than a glacier. The sun was so bright against the frigid white washed landscape and her feet hurt! Whenever she stopped she would hop from foot to foot with the most peeved look on her face, ears slicked back.
“Fuck this,” she grumbled for the nth time. “Fucking fuck this fucking bullshit!” Ray’s lips pulled back into a semi-snarl, realizing the fluffed white stuff didn’t give a damn whether she was snarling at it or smiling. “You suck!” Everything was too sunny, too. Her disposition didn’t suit the cheery weather, neither did the rest of her that trembled.
Skulking about the outside of the inner city, she meandered away from the belly of town toward somewhere a bit more habitable. Or at least she could find some damn shelter to wait out the freezing temperatures. Although Ray had an inkling that it wouldn’t really matter if she stayed where all the buildings were or went elsewhere, she would freeze either way. It was just less likely she would get eaten by some stray wandering the city and perhaps go out the glorious way of an actual predator.
A building, slanted to the side a little on the far end, was growing ever larger. She simultaneously blessed and cursed the establishment: one for not coming sooner and the other because she was thankful for some shelter.
Crossing the threshold with a little hop she shook herself as though she were covered in the stuff, meandering into the marginally warmer building. It was still fucking cold, she groused to herself. It made little difference due to the fact she had just come in from the winter weather, but she hoped that she would eventually warm up as she settled in to her new surroundings.
