SO I WHISPER IN THE DARK
HOPING THAT YOU HEAR ME CAN YOU HEAR ME?
The glass of the windows rattled in their panes, seeing out of the windows was impossible, but it was obvious that outside something terrible was taking place. The Shepherd mutt panted nervously, unsure of what to do in this situation. Was this the end of her? She wondered silently. Her anxiety was peeking, and it was at this point that she bolted from the mansion. They had been ordered to stay inside, but she just could not stay put. Calvin was outside in this, she was sure of it due to his police force position. It was not Calvin on her mind though when she burst out of the mansion, even though her feelings for him had grown quite strong. It was Pallas that she was thinking of. She had to find her sister wherever she might be. When Ceres first came across Pallas she had been on the Northern side of Cascaro, so Ceres ran North. She was certain she had probably cut through pack land in her attempt to take the most direct route. No one but her had been stupid enough to come out in this, this storm was the devils work.
Wind blew violently against her side, threatening to throw her to the ground or worse, off of her paws. She refused to be swayed though, pushing with all of her might. It was strange to see the submissive Shepherd be so brave. In the face of her sister being in danger though, she would do just about anything. There were buildings on the street that she had saw her sister in, she hoped that her sister would be tucked away in one of them. She decided to cut through the City's Spring in order to get to the downtown street that she had first found Pallas on. The rain began to fall, and it quickly picked up into a frenzy of rain drops, wind, and leaves. It took only seconds for her thick fur to be soaked down to the bone, but Ceres was determined. She began walking across one of the many bridges that passed over the spring, the water raging below her.
Each step she took was a bit less stable due to how slick the stone was becoming. She had almost cleared the bridge when the wind blew more violently against her side. The Merle colored female lost her footing. He shoulder crashed against the stone and then slid until her entire body was sliding off of the bridge. She wriggled frantically in an attempt to regain her footing, and her claws scrapped against the stone in vain. She flew off of the bridge and into the spring. This is it, there is no getting out of this she thought as her body crashed against the waters surface. The water lapped up and her head submerged. She kicked and kicked in an attempt to reach the surface. It seemed as though an eternity passed before her muzzle broke the surface of the water. Ceres took a deep breath fighting against the water that had turned vicious during the storm. She began trying to swim against the current, but she was weak.
